Back to School

I've been back to my school for one week and a day - it's surprising how different things are. I don't feel like my teaching has changed that much, but my younger groups seem to be listening and following rules better.... it's a little eerie. --------> I'm so knocking on wood because this could be what they refer to as the 'honeymoon period' before classroom discipline goes manic... lol. I do feel the label of being a "responsible adult" makes a bit more sense to me now. Nothing really felt real last year - i'm starting to see things more clearly this year and have a better grip on the reality of teaching.

It always feels like there's so much to be done that I can get overwhelmed with work stuff... I've noticed that my sense of adventure has been slipping a little bit and I need to reign that aspect of my life back in. Spending money and Paying off Student Loans/Visa bills doesn't always mix... but we're only young once right??? I was reading up on my friend Shannon's working travels in Korea and she seems to be traveling & partying while teaching English: this balance sounds good to me:) I guess when I look at it, I'm not here to become super star responsible teacher of the millennium right?

I should take things as they come, but a couple more nights out each month are well in order for this guy :) Looking forward to it.
