Well I'm back to work. (sort of ) lol. I've been off ill almost two weeks and today was my first day back - the crazy bit is that the school is shutting down for Term break Thursday so really I only have to teach 3 more days until I'm off for another two weeks!!
What ever - I can' t plan these things but I do feel well rested so it should be a proper holiday as the destress phase has been completed:~)
In other news I've had my first inkling of building a nest: GASP some may say, but after 6 years of student living I've decided I wouldn't mind having nice things. It all began sitting in my unpainted room, with my violet-oh-so-manly borrowed duvet, in the aftermath of my sister purchasing her first home that I realized I've become a squatter!! It's time to build up my sexy bachelor pad with a King size bed, leather seats and skylight!! Keeping my student loan in check might be a pain, but the seed has been planted. I've discovered how much I despise budgeting (thanks to generation want now pay later); the next few years will be a major balancing act between getting financially sorted and liberating my 20 something Mojo.... It's like Ying and Yang to the MAX:P I very much like the little man in the red suit, pointy forked stick and mischievous moustache sitting on my left shoulder these days when it comes to impulsive fun.... My budget conscience has some major work to do come April and beyond!!

I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better. I was really starting to worry about you. And can I say how jealous I am that you get another 2 weeks off. I'm dreading going back to Kimberley. I'm heading over to Victoria tomorrow for 2 days. I don't know how I'll get back into the swing of things next week. I totally hear ya on the making a nest thing. Last year was the first year I have not lived off a very very small budget. I was able to buy my car and invest in some things I've always wanted like a queen sized bed and a bedroom suite! It's really exciting but also a little scary. My next move is to look into owning some property if I move back here. That will take a steady job and some major saving. But I think it is all worth it in the end. Take care. Miss you!
I agree! I special ordered a leather couch that I have to wait for until AUGUST...but it's comfy softness is worth the wait. :) :)
Just as long as your sexy bachelor pad is in CANADA, I'll be happy. ;)
xo,
Laura
wow, the whole growing up thing, scary. Try not to do to much at once, budgeting is something I like to think of a little here and a little there. If you do it all at once you'll fall off the wagon, trust me been there done that. And remember god invented credit for a reason!!!!:)
Wow Steve!
I know I dont post often but I do catch up on my Beasley adventures every few weeks. Sounds like you have had quite a ride!
Anyways, this is mostly to say that I'm coming to England!!! (yay! yay!). Our evil sceme to guilt my husband into taking a trip instead of buying a car was a success!
Ill be in London on May 8th for about four or five days, then four or five days in York, then accross the pond to Ireland for ten more days! (speaking of budgets...). Heading back to Canada on the 28th of May out of London.
Anyways, if you wanted to catch a musical in London or suggest some cool sights for me and the hubby to see, just let me know!

Poor Steve and his $$$ are soon parted hehe. Well I'm finally getting my care pack sent off to you, with some Easter goodies and some lbs to help cover costs. Hope it helps!

Could you possibly tell Ms. Sarah H. to email me once in a while? Let her know that I terribly miss her and her friendship! She can msg me on my school blog at woodmanbandroom.blogspot.com
Thanks!
